Catalyst Coaching

A Confident Chemistry Teacher Program

Plan smarter. Teach with confidence. Leave every session with something you can use tomorrow.

Teaching Chemistry is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world—but it can also be one of the loneliest.

Maybe you're the only Chemistry teacher in your department. Maybe you're teaching Chemistry for the first time. Or maybe you've been teaching for years and just want someone to bounce ideas off of who truly understands Chemistry.

You shouldn't have to figure it all out alone.

Catalyst Coaching is an 8-week small group coaching program designed specifically for Chemistry I and Honors Chemistry teachers who want practical support, personalized coaching, and a community of Chemistry teachers who understand exactly what you're experiencing.

Whether you're planning your first unit or refining lessons you've taught for years, you'll leave every session with practical ideas, greater confidence, and classroom-ready resources you can use immediately.

Enrollment is limited to just 10 teachers to ensure everyone receives personalized coaching and support.

Investment: $200

Imagine Walking Into Class Feeling Prepared

Instead of spending hours searching for activities, second-guessing your lesson plans, or wondering if your lab will actually work...

Imagine having:

  • A proven planning process you can use all year long.
  • An experienced Chemistry teacher to help you think through challenges.
  • A community of Chemistry teachers who understand your content and your classroom.
  • Practical resources you can use immediately.
  • The confidence to make instructional decisions that help your students succeed.

That's exactly what Catalyst Coaching is designed to provide.

What Makes Catalyst Coaching Different?

There are plenty of places to buy Chemistry resources.

But resources alone don't answer questions like...

  • Should I teach this concept now or later?
  • Is this activity worth the class time?
  • How can I make this lab more meaningful?
  • What should I add for Honors Chemistry?
  • What can I simplify for Chemistry I?
  • How do I challenge students without overwhelming them?

That's where coaching makes the difference.

For nearly two decades, I've taught high school Chemistry, refined lessons, redesigned labs, adjusted pacing, and learned what works—and just as importantly, what doesn't.

Catalyst Coaching isn't about giving you another curriculum.

It's about helping you become the kind of Chemistry teacher who knows how to make great instructional decisions long after our eight weeks together.

What You'll Experience Each Week

Every Monday we'll meet live on Zoom for a one-hour coaching session that combines practical professional development with personalized coaching.

Each session includes:

✅ A focused mini-training on an important Chemistry teaching topic

✅ Time to ask questions and receive individualized coaching

✅ Opportunities to learn from other Chemistry teachers

✅ Discussion around current classroom challenges

✅ A classroom-ready resource connected to that week's topic

Depending on our focus, you may leave with:

  • Assessments and answer keys
  • Engaging classroom activities
  • Labs
  • Planning templates
  • Graphic organizers
  • Classroom strategies
  • Ready-to-use instructional materials

Every session is designed around one goal:

Helping Chemistry teachers plan smarter, teach with confidence, and leave every session with something they can use tomorrow.

A Coaching Community That Understands Chemistry

Teaching can feel isolating.

Many Chemistry teachers are the only person in their department teaching Chemistry. Even if you have another Chemistry teacher down the hall, it's still helpful to have a community of educators from different schools who understand your challenges, celebrate your successes, and share ideas.

Inside Catalyst Coaching, you'll have access to a private community where you can:

  • Ask questions between sessions
  • Share ideas and resources
  • Celebrate classroom wins
  • Learn from other Chemistry teachers

I'll be active in the community every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday to answer questions and provide guidance, and I encourage participants to support one another along the way.

Because teaching Chemistry shouldn't be a solo journey.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe students are capable of learning challenging Chemistry.

They can do hard things.

Our job is to create lessons that are thoughtfully planned, intellectually challenging, engaging, and intentionally designed to help students truly understand Chemistry—not just memorize it.

Every activity should have a purpose.

Every lab should deepen understanding.

Every lesson should move students forward.

That's the approach I'll help you bring into your own classroom.

Here's What Teachers Are Saying

"I am the only Chemistry teacher at my school, and my district doesn't offer many professional development opportunities for upper-level science. These sessions have already been a tremendous help and have exceeded my expectations!"

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

"Thank you for doing this. It's really helpful for new teachers like me."

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

"You speak in such a calming way that it really helps reduce the anxiety, especially for first-year teachers."

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

"I wish I could spend a day with you just visiting with you!"
